What can I collect money for?

Faculty Fund$ users typically collect money to help fund school-wide collections, such as PTA dues, Spirit Wear, Fundraisers, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Do users have to create an account to make a contribution?

No, contributors do not need to create an account in order to fund a collection.

How will I know if someone contributes to my collection?

You, as the organizer, will receive an email every time a contribution is made to your Faculty Fund$ collection.

Does Faculty Fund$ cost anything?

It is FREE to organize, plan, and share your collection. However, if your contributors are paying via credit/debit card  there is a small fee. Faculty Fund$ will charge your contributors a 3% convenience fee, plus an additional 2.9% + $0.30 for payment and processing from PayPal when using a credit or debit card. How do online payments work?

Online payments are made possible by PayPal. Their fee is just 2.9% + 0.30 per transaction. Faculty Fund$ charges an additional 3% per transaction. This amount is charged to each contributor. The organizer will never have to pay any fees.

Is Faculty Fund$ safe and secure?

Yes, Faculty Fund$ is safe and secure! With the use of PayPal’s platform, all of your sensitive, personal information is encrypted and stored in a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Compliant environment.  Faculty Fund$ users’ money is always held securely by PayPal’s FDIC – insured partner bank, so your funds are never at risk.

How do I collect my funds?

Once PayPal is linked to your Faculty Fund$ account, any contributions made to your collections will be held in your Faculty Fund$ account until you withdraw your funds. Simply go to the ‘Withdrawal’ tab on your Faculty Fund$ Dashboard to send your money to your PayPal Account. As soon as you withdraw your money, it is deposited into your PayPal account instantly!

How long do withdrawals take?

Organizers are allowed to withdraw their funds once a week. Once the organizer requests a withdrawal, the funds are deposited into their PayPal account instantly! There is absolutely no wait period.

Why does Faculty Funds charge a 3% convenience fee?

Faculty Fund$ operates at ONLY a 3% fee that is applied to each contribution. A portion of that 3% fee is used to cover expenses such as maintenance of the website, infrastructure, and payroll. The other portion of the fee is donated right back into your schools via Faculty Fund$ Education Donations.

Can you contribute from a smart phone or tablet?

Yes! The mobile version is responsive so, you won’t have any trouble viewing it on your tablet or smart phone. Your contribution page will still look great and anyone can easily contribute, just as they would on a computer. We hope to have an app available to you in the future!

Your contributors are charged immediately following a contribution. Once your event recieves its first funder, payments are automatically sent to your wepay account. You will then need to login to wepay, link your bank account, and select how often you would like to withdrawal. Once you’ve completed your settings, everything will be on auto pilot! All payments will flow right into your bank account.
